These nutty sweet treats are packed with energy and fibre, the perfect accompaniment to your afternoon cuppa!
Time: 5 mins + 20 mins chilling
NUTRITION per serving (1 ball)
Approx. 150 calories & 5g protein
200g Almond Butter (no added sugar)
30g Dessicated coconut
1 tsp vanilla essence
Place the dates and almond butter in a blender and blitz until you have a smooth paste
Add the dates and almond butter to a bowl and mix in the other ingredients apart from the hazelnuts
Pop the hazelnuts onto a plate
Make the almond mix into balls (about 1 tbsp per ball) and then roll and coat in the hazelnuts
Place the finished balls on a plate and pop them in the fridge for 20-30mins until chilled and firm, they can then be stored them in the fridge or freezer ready for snacking!
MAKE IT YOUR OWN
Switch the almond butter for peanut or cashew butter
Switch out some of the dates for other dried fruit such as apricot
